Caron B. Goode, Ed.D., NCC, DAPA
Dr. Goode’s
professional experiences encompass positions as a special education
teacher, educational diagnostician; trainer for parents & educators;
psychotherapist in pediatrics, women’s health, and persons with
anomalous experiences as well as consultant and coach for spiritual
living, wellness & empowerment. She conducts seminar training and is an
inspirational speaker and presenter.
Dr. Goode is a prolific published author, as well as communications
consultant for schools and organizations. Her monthly parenting column
goes out to 40 media outlets and she has been featured in magazines such
as Working Woman, Better Homes & Gardens, and numerous parenting
newspapers. She has managed three web sites, three blogs, a global
learning portal, and ezines.
Dr. Goode is the founder of the e-learning school, the Academy for
Coaching Parents International, which trains and certifies coaches for
parents and families through teleconferences, seminars, independent
study and coaching practice. She designed the business plan, the
marketing plan, and the global educational portal. She designed the
courses and managed the consultants and specialists in the research,
writing and development of training manuals and participant manuals.
She is the founder of the HeartWise relationship model based upon
establishing connection, clear communication, and compassion, whether in
partnership, parenting or professional relationships. Education,
psychology, spiritual mentoring, mindbody wellness, business management
and professional writing comprise the wealth of experience Dr. Goode
brings to her mentoring, courses, and books. The common thread of each
discipline has been on the energy of the mind and body and how to access
it, focus it, and use it for enrichment and empowerment. A mother and
stepmother, Dr. Goode knows firsthand the importance of parenting skills
and that nurturing children with joy, common sense and a mind/body
connectedness enriches and benefits both parent and child.
Dr. Goode graduated with a Doctoral Degree from George Washington
University in 1983 and is a licensed psychotherapist. She recently
completed post-doctoral certifications in Mindbody Wellness and Women's
Spirituality at the Institute for Transpersonal Psychology. In addition,
she holds the titles of and National Certified Counselor and Diplomat of
the American Psychotherapy Association and member of the International
Association of Coaches, the American Counseling Association, the
Transpersonal Psychology Association among others.

Dr. Goode
completed his BS in Commerce from the University of Virginia and entered
the business world of finance and had a successful career. Then in 1978
something happened that altered the course of his life and his goals. At
age 38, he was diagnosed as having a terminal degenerative disease.
Healing the condition naturally, Goode began a new phase of life,
dedicating to helping others and receiving his Doctorate of Naturopathy
from The Clayton School of Natural Healing.
Dr. Goode researched and trained as a proficient healer in integrative
healing modalities and empowerment strategies and conducted a private
healing and counseling practice for 12 years.
In 1990, Dr. Goode
cofounded the International Breath Institute and conducted training
seminars in wellness and lifestyle management for parents, health
professionals and persons desiring personal growth. Dr. Goode’s work is
based upon the four pillars of health: Full-wave breathing, nutrition,
exercise, and meditation.
A Certified Seminar Leader of the American Seminar Leader's Association,
Dr. Goode is a dynamic workshop facilitator and inspirational speaker,
presenting both in the U.S. and abroad. He has appeared on television
and radio shows , and taught college courses in intuitional development.
He is the author of Breathe & Grow Rich (2008), The Holistic Guide to
Weight, Anti-Aging, and Fat Prevention (2005, and coauthor of Help Kids
Cope With Loss and Trauma (2006). Dr. Goode created dynamic music
program for personal transformation called Inner Harmony as well as the
touching composition called The Cosmic Waltz, music for personal
transformation. |
