Consistent with the ACPI approach that parent coaches need to address the whole child, this course will assist professionals in understanding the teen culture kids are growing up in, and in turn assist parents in becoming knowledgeable, confident sexuality educators with their children. Research with teens consistently tells us that teens want to know what their parents believe regarding the major issues that confront them.


ABOUT ALAN
Alan Carson is an ACPI Certified Coach for Parents specializing in adolescence. He is on the cutting edge, ahead of his time, and values honesty, respect and truthfulness in relationships with our kids. Alan was a high school health education teacher for 21 years before serving as a middle school guidance counselor. He developed a comprehensive sexuality education curriculum for his students at a time in which addressing sexuality the public schools was not widely supported. When he left his teaching position, he created and continues to facilitate a parenting course entitled "It's About Time: Talking to Your Tweens and Teens About Sexuality."
