Praise

Dear Caron,
I am an RN and just started a new job in a mental health facility. The focus is on children and adolescence. We do a daily "group" with them. We may pick the topic the only criteria being "education" of some sort. I wanted to offer some valuable coping skills kids could use. So, I went to the computer and spent over an hour clicking on lists of Internet items looking for help. I was getting very tired and needed to go to bed. When bingo" I found your article on kids, trauma, and coping skills! I just wanted to say a great big thank-you for your helpful article!
Sincerely ,
Charlotte Rogers

Without a clear vision of what your values are, life is more challenging. Let me explain why.  Read on...

Hugs, Gift Wrapped Love

By Karen Robbins

Hair flying around her face, Kotomi bounced up the steps to our home as quickly as her little preschool legs could take her. “Granma!” she shouted as I opened the door and bent down to greet her. Her small arms encircled my neck and she gave me the biggest hug her tiny body could offer.  Read on...

Coming Up For Air

By Anna Stewart

I belong to a club no one wants to join. I have a daughter with special needs. Sabrina has developmental delays and moves much more slowly than other kids her age. The hardest thing is her delayed speech- at three she could only say “hi” and “mama”. I want her to fit in, to be a regular kid even though she isn’t.  Read on...
